Synapse X failed to Download Bootstrapper Files .. If you are trying to install Synapse X, one of the first things that happens is that it needs to download a bootstrapper file. If this process fails, then you will see an error message in the console window. This article describes what may have gone wrong and how to fix Synapse X failed to Download Bootstrapper Files.

The affected user encounters the error when he tries to launch/install the Synapse application. Some users encountered the error just after the download, whereas other users encountered it after using it for a long time.

Before proceeding with the troubleshooting process, make sure the Synapse website is up and running. Moreover, perform a simple restart of your system to check if the problem is solved (a solution reported by many users to work).

Solution #1 : Clear the Cache

If you are using an older version of Synapse X, make sure to clear your browser’s cache. This is a temporary place where web browsers store data and files that it needs to work properly. It may cause problems when new files or software overwrite old ones stored in there. To delete the contents of your webpage cache:

– For Internet Explorer users: press ‘ctrl’ + ‘del’ keys; click on “internet options”, then go to the content tab and select “delete”; finally, restart your system for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).

–For Firefox users : press [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [Delete]; click on “cache” , choose “delete files”; finally, restart your system for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).

Solution #2 : Reinstall the Bootstrapper Files

This option is only available if you are using an older version of Synapse X. If so, launch Synapse X and reinstall it through its setup wizard. This will re-download the bootstrapper file that was originally failed to download.  – Make sure you have internet connection when installing/launching the application; otherwise this step won’t work at all!   –If any warning message appears during installation saying there’s a newer version of Synapse X already installed on your machine, just press “OK” or “Yes” button in order to overwrite it.   –When done, restart your system for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).

Solution #3 : Delete the AppData Folder and Reinstall Synapse X

If you are using an older version of Synapse X, make sure to delete the contents in “%AppData%” folder. This is a necessary step because this location stores temporary files that may cause problems when new software or file overwrite old ones stored there.

To do so:  –Open up “Run” window by pressing [Windows] + [R]; type %appdata% and press enter/return; look for SyanpseX folder, right click it then choose “delete”; finally restart your machine for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).

Solution #4 : Allow Synapse X Through Your Antivirus (Windows Defender) and Firewall Applications

If you are using an older version of Synapse X, make sure to allow the application through your antivirus and firewall applications. This is necessary because such programs may block certain files from running or downloading which prevents installation/launching of the software; moreover internet security suites (antivirus) often include a Firewall that can also interfere with proper operation.

To do so:  –Check if there’s any warning message appears during launch saying “the publisher could not be verified”; press “more info” then click on “run anyway” button; If this doesn’t solve it, continue reading below…

–For Avast users : go to Settings > Troubleshooting > Exclusions ; addanpseX folder into list; finally restart your system for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).   –For Kaspersky users : go to Settings > Troubleshooting > Exclusions ; addanpseX folder into list;

finally restart your system for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).

Solution #5: Turn Off Advanced Security (Xfinity Only)

If you are using an older version of Synapse X, make sure to turn off your Antivirus and Firewall applications. If these aren’t the solution for you then try turning off Windows Defender/Xfinity’s security features in order to allow it run properly with no issues at all.

To do so:  –Open up “Settings” window by clicking on [Start] + [Settings]; click on “Update & Security”; select “Windows Defender/Find Updates” tab; finally turn off both options (a solution reported by few users).

Solution #6 : Update Your Software!

This is a permanent fix that works for every user and situation as long as software installations include recent updates and bug fixes. The last versions of Synapse X are fully compatible with Windows versions.

If you have an older version installed, make sure to update it by downloading the latest setup file from this website.

–If any warning message appears saying there’s a newer version already installed on your machine, just press “OK” or “Yes” button in order to overwrite it; finally restart your system for changes to take effect (a solution reported by many users).

Solution #7 : Upgrade Your System!

This is a permanent fix that works only if you’re using obsolete devices and/or outdated components such as old CPU types, video cards drivers etc…

Upgrading these will provide better performance because new software requires more power than what can be provided through very old hardware.

I hope your problem (Synapse X failed to Download Bootstrapper Files )got resolved if you find any other difficulties or Solution for the same problem do comment!
